Healthy Boundaries Facilitator Guide
What is a boundary anyway?
Well, much like the fences that surround our homes, our properties, our boundaries are the “fence” that surround our hearts. Their purpose is to protect and own what belongs to you and what does not belong to you.
How does your boundary fence look? Is it threatening like a prison fence with razor wire? Tall like a hurricane fence without gaps to peek in? Is your fence rotting and falling apart? Or maybe there is no fence at all.
This is a journey about learning to establish strong, healthy boundaries in your life, about rebuilding a healthy fence with the help of a master carpenter, Jesus!
This 5-week series will challenge you to take an honest look into your own life and take responsibility for the fence around your heart. You will be empowered to embrace the obstacles that come along with establishing healthy boundaries and begin to see the impact in your life and the lives of others around you.
Jesus told His disciples the first, greatest commandment: Love the Lord your God with all your heart, mind, soul and strength, and the second: Love your neighbor as yourself. This is the journey of fulfilling that second greatest commandment – learning to love yourself well so that you might begin to love others as Jesus commanded
