Alyshia Boagni, M.S., LPC

Alyshia began her journey towards obtaining her license in counseling while homeschooling her 4 children and studying her family tree. Seeking to understand patterns of behavior led her down the path of understanding the impact of adverse childhood experiences, identifying the effects of early life trauma and how people build resilience into adulthood.   After earning a Master’s Degree with dual concentrations in Clinical Mental Health Counseling and School Counseling from the University of Louisiana at Lafayette in 2017, she worked as a school counselor focusing on prevention and the impact of trauma on learning and family dynamics. Her focus on trauma led her to statewide and community advocacy as an ACE (Adverse Childhood Experiences) Educator. She is considered an expert in understanding how trauma affects us into our adulthood and how to overcome these challenges in all aspects of life.

Alyshia is currently applying her training and understanding to the clients she serves at The Kitchen Table. She is eager to work with clients on an individual level, partnering to  create a safe space for healing. She holds a holistic, person-centered approach, counseling through a deep understanding of family dynamics, attachment challenges and seeking to understand each of her clients’ unique challenges and how to move forward.

Alyshia  and her husband of 25 years have 4 children. Their oldest son is a commissioned officer with the U.S. Army. She brings to the table her drive for excellence, a quiet strength and compassion.When she’s not working, she loves to soak up the sun, dig in the dirt, do anything creative, and coach her kids in a myriad of activities and sports. The family Doodle, Jack, is the embodiment of the kind of accepting, supportive and warm presence she seeks to create for her clients.
